Active Member of the Anglican Church.

Organiser of the “Christian Aid Week” house-to-house collection in Crewe.

Keen walker and member of the “PALLGO” Rambling Club.

Member of Crewe & Nantwich Borough Council from May 1994 until its demise in March 2009.

Member of Cheshire County Council from April 2004 to May 2005.

Treasurer of Crewe & Nantwich Liberal Democrats.
